Foreword from Mrs. Mercer
A warm welcome to Fairfield Endowed C.E (C) Junior School
I am enormously proud to be the Headteacher of Fairfield Endowed Church of England (C) Junior School, here in Fairfield, Buxton. The school is situated in the spa town of Buxton where the Romans once set up camp 2,000 years ago! Fairfield has its own history, once being mainly farm land, with close links to St. Peter’s Church just across the Common where the Romans once marched.
Our school is a happy environment where learning knows no bounds.
We have high expectations of every child and expect all children to behave well, work hard and do their best. A love of learning is essential and our one school rule ‘to show good manners at all times’ covers just about everything every child needs to know and... it’s memorable.
Our dedicated team of professionals help make the magic happen each day by delivering an inspiring and engaging curriculum, aimed at preparing children for high school and beyond. It’s important to us that our children have the best opportunities in life in order to secure their future success. We instil a ‘can do’ attitude amongst all of our pupils. Our school motto of ‘Happy. Proud. Successful.’ sums us up nicely.
Our dedicated team of fabulous children add the finishing touches by getting involved in their learning, asking questions, finding out, sharing learning and, above all else, having fun! We don’t leave the parents/carers behind, don’t worry. You’ll be on the journey with us every step of the way; we look forward to working with you as partners in your child’s education.
