'Reading gives you Wings'

At FEJS, the children take great pride in all aspects of their reading and always strive to do their very best. To celebrate their reading achievements, gold coins can be won for the 'Reading Vending Machine' where the child can choose the reading book of their choice! They will also receive a 'Reading gives you Wings' butterfly badge to encourage and inspire other children to continue with all their amazing reading. Our 'Reading Vending Machine' has become extremely popular and was recognised by the famous Manchester United footballer 'Marcus Rashford'; he sent the FEJS a video message and praised the children for all their hard work! We are extremely proud of our children as they all follow our school motto to be 'Happy. Proud. Successful.'

Head Teacher and Attendance Awards

Every Friday afternoon, Mrs Mercer will hold a whole school assembly and will speak to all the children about the exciting things that have happened in the week, up-coming events and will also award the children who have been recognised by their teachers for producing amazing work, trying their very best or for never giving up and much much more! 

As well as the ‘Head Teacher Awards’, Mrs Mercer will also award the class with the best attendance. The class will receive a grand prize to share with all their class mates!
