Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Grade 9
Fairfield Endowed CofE Junior School (Buxton, Derbyshire) wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our happy and supportive school team.
This is a full time permanent post, 37 hours per week term time plus inset days (39 weeks). We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who can work alongside our staff and add to our Curriculum to meet very specific needs amongst our children.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience and qualifications within the field of Sports coaching with particular knowledge in using sports to support children with SEND and behavioural needs. They will also be required to work across the whole school to deliver PE lessons.
Experience in working to support children with SEND and behavioural needs within the classroom is essential with the ability to plan and deliver taught sessions for small groups being desirable.
It is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate their knowledge of different strategies employed within behaviour management and familiarity with how these may be applied within the school setting.
Applications are welcome from those qualified to at least NVQ Teaching Assistant Level 3 or those with some teaching experience.
The post is to start from October 2020, or sooner if possible.
