September 2020 School re-opening plans and arrangements
Dear Parents/Carers,
This is just a quick letter to update you as much as we can. Guidance seems to be coming out each day and we will keep you updated as we find out more.
Summer Arrangements
School will close on Friday 17th July 2020 as originally planned. Derbyshire have told us that, at the moment, they do not have any information about what is expected from schools during the Summer but they have asked us to make our plans clear to parents and carers as soon as we can. We have therefore decided that at the moment there will be no provision for childcare over the 6 week Summer break. Derbyshire are expecting an update from the government on Friday July 3rd and we will let you know if that changes anything as soon as we can after that date. We are waiting for information about whether Summer sports camps are going to be allowed to run, but Aim High will be able to update you at a later point about that.
If you are in receipt of Free School Meals, your vouchers will continue over the Summer.
Next Year
We now know which teaching teams will be working in different years groups next year, but we cannot finally put together the class information and which class will be in which room until we have more detail from the government about how schools will be organised in September. Again, Derbyshire are hoping the update on July 3rd will make all of this clearer and we will let you know more detail when we can.
Year Group Teaching Team
Year 3
Miss Stein, Mrs Thyer, Mrs Wood
Year 4
Mrs Shaw, Mr Pace
Year 5
Mrs Thompson, Mrs Hewson
Year 6
Mr Redman, Mrs Johnson, Mrs Robinson
As soon as more details start to become clear we will be back in touch and keep you in the picture. We will make sure any extra information or changes go out by email, text and via Dojo as well. If you have any questions please get in touch and we will do our best to answer them.
