Year 4 researching Roman life then and how it connects to us today.
Year 4 Hot Chocolate Treat Time!
Congratulations to the children who earned a hot chocolate for super reading, going the extra mile or resilience when they find things tough. There are a lot of children in 4W who deserve this extra special treat so please watch this space…….☕️☕️☕️
Year 4 - Roman Shields from Forest school natural materials
Year 4 have been making Roman shields after collecting items from the school grounds. The children had a fantastic time doing this and their shields looked great. The children had to research Roman Shields and choose their natural materials carefully.
Year 3 PSHE - Our Achievements!
In PSHE the children have been discussing their achievements (big and small). The children then made a bronze, silver and gold medal to celebrate these achievements. It was fantastic to hear about what the children were proud of. We got some lovely answers, from winning a football tournament to mastering a wheelie on a bike!
Year 3 Leaf Collages
The children have been busy creating their leaf collages and writing some lovely poems about autumn leaves. They cut out neatly, chose their colours and leaf shapes, curled the edges and glued them to create their forest floor collage. Here are some pictures!
Year 3 Illustrators
A few photos of some budding illustrators! The children joined another live presentation by an author and an illustrator this time. There was a demonstration on how to draw Ralph the rat from the story and what an amazing job they all did. What I was most impressed by was they all gave their rats (or mice) names and even back stories! We had dinosaur rats, rats with jet packs, rainbow rats, stunt scooter-riding rats... the list goes on...
Well done everyone. 🐀
