Yesterday a team of four year 5's completed the Change for Life leader training delivered by High Peak Schools Sports Partnership. They are now qualified to encourage other people to live more healthier lifestyles and will become our schools leaders. Well done team

Our school basketball teams played in the Buxton cluster competition yesterday. They all represented their school extremely well and they all gave 100% effort. We came a very respectable 2nd place after losing narrowly 1-0 against a strong Harpur Hill team. Well done team FEJS
A group of year 5 and 6's took part in a Christmas swimming event yesterday at Buxton swimming pool. There were lots of other schools from the High Peak which attended and all the children had a great time competing and playing games.
Today we took our three Boccia teams to the high peak competition at Chapel High School. All three of our teams made it through to the semi finals which was a fantastic achievement, and one of our teams made it through to the final where they were narrowly beaten. Everyone represented the school superbly and they all played outstanding! Well done team FEJS
A group of year 5's took part on a bike ability course which prepared them to maintain their bike and ride safely on the road.
A group of year 3's took part in Map Quest Orienteering in Pavilion Gardens today. They had to use their map to find hidden location points around the gardens and mark their score card within a certain time period. All the children worked well together and enjoyed the afternoon
Our year 3 and 4 boys and girls team took part in the Buxton cluster football competition today. It was the first competition that a lot of these children had took part in and represented the school very well and put in 100% effort. The boys finished fourth overall and the girls finished third overall.
Our year 5 and 6 boys and girls football team took part in the Buxton area competition. They all played extremely well with the boys football team finishing joint third and our girls narrowly missed out on winning the competition by conceding a last second goal in the final to finish runners up in the competition.
We are extremely pleased to announce for the third year in a row we have achieved the Gold standard for the school games mark 2018- 2019. Well done to everyone who made this achievable.
Our quad kids athletics team represented the High Peak at the School Games Final today. There were over 1000 children there taking part and we were against 9 other schools from around Derbyshire. Our team performed outstanding on the day, put in 100% effort and represented the school proudly. We came a very respectable 4th position overall which is an outstanding achievement! Well done team FEJS!
