Miss Stein's Year 3 Class
Welcome to our class page. We hope you enjoy seeing some of the wonderful things that the Year 3 children have been doing this term. Miss Stein
World Book Day
Our World Book Day was Dear Greenpeace so we decided to write some poems about how wonderful whales are. We coloured our patterns, cut out a whale and wrote our poems in the space left behind.
Another science investigation!
Just playing with magnets and finding out for ourselves what they can do. Trying things out and learning as we go.
A science investigation!
We had great fun working in our science groups investigating whether different surfaces affect how easy it is to pull and object across them. We had to work together and share the task.
Our Christmas party!
OUR ANCIENT EGYPTIAN TOPIC
The children produced some beautiful Ancient Egyptian treasures - collars and amulets - examples of both were found in Tutankhamun's tomb.
Our Annual Visit to St Peter's Church to make a Christingle
The children had a great time making Christingles for the service on Sunday 1st December.
Christmas crafts in Year 3
Mums, Dads, Grandads, Nans and older brothers joined Year 3 for a creative afternoon! Christmas is on its way!
Our Trip to Grin Low Woods
We had a fantastic morning, learning about the habitats, big and small, in Grin Low Woods. Along the way we found carved wooden sculptures of animals and plants, sat with Charlie the lime burner, peered into holes, and collected leaves and seeds. Brilliant.
European Day at FEJS
One of our activities was creating the French flag. It was a bit messy when they chose pastels!
The Ancient Celts and their houses!
We researched Celtic roundhouses before making our models. With sandy walls, thatched roofs and beautiful Celtic style patterns adorning the inside walls, I think you must agree that the are fabulous!
